Roots, Identity and Connection

This project explores the idea of “roots” as both a biological and cultural metaphor. Inspired by tree root systems, blood vessels, and family histories, I investigate how identity is formed through connections between nature, the body, and personal experience. Through ceramics, sculpture, and installation, I examine themes of origin, growth, motherhood, and belonging, using roots and the umbilical cord as symbols of life, inheritance, and human connection.
